It was Friday afternoon. We had just finished an intense four hours on Hollywood Boulevard. It was a hot day, which only added to our fatigue.
Ray Comfort, “E.Z.” Zwayne, Mark Spence, Ed Lee (one of our Academy Team Leaders), and I piled into my little Toyota Corolla. Yes, the car seats five…barely.
We crawled along the southern California freeways, slowly working our way back to Living Waters headquarters. Though the accommodations were cramped, the fellowship was wonderful.
As I travelled southbound on the 5 Freeway, I cam alongside a stretch limousine. The back side window was open. A young Hispanic man (a gang member-type) peered out the window at us. He had a look on his face that said, “Hey man, I’m in a limo and you’re driving a Corolla.”
The young man started flashing some gang signs.
