Paul Washer became a believer while attending the University of Texas studying to become an oil and gas lawyer. He completed his undergraduate studies and enrolled at Southwestern Theological Seminary where he received his Master of Divinity degree. Paul left the states shortly after graduation as a North American missionary to Peru.
Paul ministered as a missionary in Peru for 10 years, during which time he founded the HeartCry Missionary Society to support Peruvian Church planters. HeartCry’s work now supports over 80 indigenous missionaries in 15 different countries throughout Eastern Europe, South America, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East.
An itinerant preacher, Paul also frequently teaches at his home church, First Baptist Church of Muscle Shoals, and is the author of The One True God: A Biblical Study of the Doctrine of God.
At the present, Paul serves as the Director of HeartCry Missionary Society and resides in Muscle Shoals, Alabama with his wife Charo and two sons Ian and Evan, and one daughter Rowan.

I had never heard of Paul Washer – until God decided it was time last Tuesday. I attend a non-denominational church, but do listen to other godly teachers online – my favorite being, Pastor David Wilkerson. Well, when listening to Pastor David on YOUTUBE, Paul Washer came up in the side bar~ It was definitely a divine appointment. I listened to a conversation with him, then the shocking- youth message, as I have a 16-year-old who plays in the worship band at church. I was blown away by Pastor Paul’s messages… then I listened to many others and forwarded the messages to everyone I know. God has blessed me with discernment and this is most certainly a man who loves God with his whole heart, mind, soul and strength. He speaks TRUTH, and TRUTH alone. He is so godly, I have been praying daily for his safety – the world needs him. We need more men like him. I have shed tears of joy that God acquainted me with Pastor Paul…. for, I, too, have been distraught over the rampant evil around us and even in our churches…. so carnal, so secular, so blatantly unreverant to our Glorious King of Glory. I was raised Catholic and do know what humble and pure of heart is, I know about reverencing our blessed Lord, I know about praying prostrate with my face in the dirt, humbly being in His presence… He is Who He says He is and PRAISE GOD for men like Paul Washer who tirelessly serve to make Him known to men.
All Glory and Honor to the One who places the stars in the sky and calls them by name!
